ARTVPS has been developing advanced raytracing and shader technology for over 5 years, providing users with the ability to create images of unsurpassed photorealism.
ARTVPS's unique 3D graphics processor has enabled us to develop solutions that offer the highest image quality and the fastest rendering speeds available. Alongside ARTVPS's specialised ray tracing software RenderPipe, provides users with an enhanced rendering experience.
ARTVPS and mental images has brought together two leading edge technologies in one rendering solution. The new range of dedicated rendering hardware means users can create truly photorealistic images at even faster speeds.
Outstanding Performance
As a dedicated mental ray platform, RenderServer is high performance renderer. This compact, 1U rack-mountable, multi processor server is designed around AMD's dual core processor technology and provides the platform to run the 64-bit version of mental ray standalone.
Seamless Integration
RenderServer is compatible with Autodesk's leading 3D applications, 3ds Max and Maya. As an independent mental ray platform multiple users can render to RenderServer using their preferred 3D application. There is no need to change how you work.
Advanced Materials
Custom shader technology from ARTVPS is supplied for use with RenderServer. These unique materials are simple to install and use in addition to those already supplied with your 3D application.
Scalable Solution
This unique 'out-of-the-box' mental ray solution provides a flexible, scalable platform for faster rendering. RenderServer is available in two hardware configurations and forms the hub of the new range of rendering hardware solutions to be launched in 2006.
· 64-bit mental ray standalone
· 3ds Max or Maya shaders
· Advanced RP material library
· Fedora Core Linux OS
· Web-based Java front end for rendering .mi files.
RenderPipe
RenderPipe is the name of ART's specialised ray tracing software renderer. It is the only rendering software currently supported by our raytracing hardware technology.
ARTVPS works with development partners such as Autodesk to create a range of RenderPipe interfaces for its products and currently supports Maya®, 3ds max® and VIZ®
RenderPipe software is available with RenderDrive and RayBox hardware. Specifically developed to plug-in to the latest 3D applications from Autodesk, RenderPipe can be installed and used on as many workstations as you need, with no per-workstation or per-processor licensing.
RenderPipe software is constantly being updated to enable you to achieve the ulimate in photorealistic rendering. Supported customers can download updates for FREE at anytime.
RenderPipe for MAX
For 3dsmax and 3D Studio VIZ users, RenderPipe MAX provides seamless control of RenderDrive from completely within the MAX/VIZ graphical user interface. ARTVPS has added powerful user interface controls to allow you to efficiently set up complex lighting scenarios and use the sophisticated 'real world' camera features of its products, such as physically accurate depth of field and motion blur.
With RenderPipe MAX you can use the materials already supplied in MAX/VIZ along with the physically accurate RenderCoat materials supplied with RenderDrive. You can also bring in RenderMan shaders as well - mixing and matching these materials in any way on your geometry.
RenderPipe for Maya
RenderPipe for Maya is a plug-in that provides seamless integration of RenderDrive into Maya. With RenderPipe for Maya, all of ARTVPS's advanced rendering features are available to Maya users. RenderDrive's physically based rendering environment, including real-world lighting, physically accurate materials, and accurate camera effects, combined with ARTVPS's accelerated rendering platforms deliver Maya users unmatched image quality and rendering performance.
RenderPipe for Maya also supports the standard materials and features inherent in Maya, thereby minimising any learning requirement and ensuring quick and easy integration into an existing studio environment.
RenderPipe for Maya is available on Windows and Irix platforms.
